Mount Olive Junior Wrestling is a recreational program offered to wrestlers that range from kindergarten to eighth grade. Our goal is to promote the sport of youth wrestling and encourage physical fitness, sportsmanship, and character in our youth wrestlers. This program provides instruction and competition for novice wrestlers through advanced wrestlers.

To live this philosophy, we embrace the following principals:

• All wrestlers will be paired in practice and meets based on their age, weight and experience.
• Safety is top priority - Practice and meets will be managed by our coaches in such a way so as to minimize the risk of injuries.
• Under no circumstance will any wrestler be encouraged to lose weight to be able to wrestle in a particular weight class.
• Parents and coaches must lead by example.
• Parents must act with dignity and respect during matches and tournaments.
• Coaches and parents will encourage our wrestlers whether they win or lose.
